In celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Friendship between Korea and the Philippines, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines proudly presents the ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐น๐บ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น, titled โChingu Kita!โ (or โYou are my friendโ) at SM Cinema.
This yearโs festival theme highlights โFriendshipโ and will feature five compelling films which explore the many facets of friendship. From September 27 to 29, 2024, film enthusiasts will get an opportunity to enjoy free screenings at SM Mall of Asia, SM City Baguio, SM Seaside City Cebu, and SM City Davao.
The festival lineup includes the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awardsโ Best Film, ๐ฆ๐บ๐๐ด๐ด๐น๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ (๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ), an action-packed tale of trust and survival; ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ (๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ), a heartwarming comedy that redefines love and companionship; ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ (๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ), a touching short film about childhood friendship and adventure; ๐ข๐๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ป (๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฏ), a moving story about the bonds of friendship and family; and ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ (๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ต), a film that portrays the unbreakable connection between two brothers. Each film brings a unique perspective on the power of friendship.
The 2024 Korean Film Festival is made possible through the support of the Korean Film Council, Film Development Council of the Philippines, Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, SM Cinema, and the University of the Philippines Film Institute.
