In the incident, 42-year-old tricycle driver Robino Natavio Oca and his three minor children were injured, while his wife was declared dead on arrival at the hospital after being thrown from the vehicle.
โDue to the strong impact of the Aerox motorcycle colliding with the tricycle, it caused the tricycle to flip over,โ Datuin added.
The driver and helper of the delivery truck were unharmed.
Police investigation revealed that the motorcycle rider was allegedly intoxicated when the incident happened.
Additionally, both the rider and the tricycle driver violated Provincial Ordinance Number 325-2024, which mandates the use of reflectorized vests for motorcycle riders, cyclists, e-bike riders, and tricycles.
The tricycle driverโs family and the motorcycle rider and his passenger are still recovering from their injuries.ย

According to PLt. Darius Cabotaje, Operations Officer at Bugallon PNP, โThe tricycleโs wheel was struck, causing it to shift into the opposite lane, where it was hit by a dump truck.โ
Due to the force of the collision with the dump truck, the tricycle driver was thrown from the vehicle.
The truck driver, identified as 51-year-old Roldan De Guzman, was also involved in the incident.
The tricycle driver’s wife was injured in the crash.
