A 14-year-old student was killed in a motorcycle accident along Kennon Road on March 27 after the vehicle collided with an FX van.

Ricardo Simsim, the victim’s father, was in tears as he recalled his last moments with his son.

He shared that his child had left for school in the morning but never returned home.

According to police reports, the victim was driving the motorcycle with two classmates as passengers.

They were on their way home from Barangay Twin Peaks to Barangay Camp 3 when the accident occurred.

The motorcycle reportedly veered into the opposite lane and crashed into an approaching FX van.

None of the three students were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.

Tuba Municipal Police Station officer PEMS Ison Jacob stated that the impact of the crash could have been less severe if they had been wearing protective gear.

The two other passengers sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment, while the victim’s remains have been brought home for the wake.
