SOME TRAVELERS, FEAR THEY MAY MISS NOCHE BUENA DUE TO LONG JOURNEYS HOME

BY: VANESSA BUGTONG

As early as 1 in the afternoon on Christmas Eve, Tatay Renato and his family have been waiting for their bus to Mariveles, Bataan.

But they’ve been lined up at the terminal since 11 AM, worried they might not get seats.

After all, they still have a six-hour journey ahead to reach their province.

His main concern is that they might end up spending Noche Buena during the trip.

The same is true for 58-year-old Nanay Ema, who is traveling to Dagupan City.

According to bus terminal masters, the number of passengers today is lower compared to December 23.

Despite this, the Baguio City Police Office remains on alert.

Terminal masters remind passengers that bus trips to Manila will have a cutoff at 5 PM today and on December 24.

However, trips to other provinces will continue as planned.
