A new chapter in healthcare delivery is unfolding in the town of Alcala, with the construction of the 15th provincial hospital in Pangasinan.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 31 for the Alcala Community Hospital, a 50-bed facility intended to meet the growing demand for medical services in the province.
The project is a joint initiative between the Alcala local government unit and the provincial government of Pangasinan.
Governor Ramon V. Guico III said the hospital will be equipped with essential facilities including a laboratory, X-ray and CT scan machines, and a dialysis center. “This is not just a project of the provincial government of Pangasinan but a joint project with the LGU of Alcala,” he noted.
The facility is expected to provide much-needed relief, particularly for senior citizens, pregnant women, and patients requiring regular dialysis or laboratory tests.
Plans also include the integration of telemedicine services for patients who cannot easily visit the hospital.
The Alcala Community Hospital is one of the provincial government’s flagship projects aimed at improving healthcare accessibility and promoting modern medical services in eastern Pangasinan.
