In this small space along Harrison Road, you’ll find this massage center where members of the Baguio Federation Organization of the Visually Impaired Persons are based.
They offer massage services.
Here, skin-to-skin contact is unavoidable, so they take extra precautions.
Their operations were even more affected when the first MPOX cases were recorded in Baguio.
From the first two confirmed MPOX cases, yesterday, February 5, in a press conference, the Baguio City Health Services Office announced two more positive cases.
A 21-year-old male and a 21-year-old female.
These were the only details shared by the agency.
However, the Health Services Office revealed that the patients were infected with the Clade II variant.
Following the rise in cases, various groups in Baguio City have held meetings, including food establishments, hotels, transient accommodations, spas, and others.
This is to implement compliance with the sanitation standards previously announced by the City Health Services Office.
However, this will not affect the operations of various establishments in the city.
There is also no reason to worry about rumors of a lockdown.
The public is advised to seek medical consultation immediately at the nearest health center if they experience MPOX symptoms such as rashes, fever, body aches, and others.
