Two hundred brand-new footballs were distributed to various schools in Pangasinan under the FIFA Football for Schools program.
This initiative was made possible through the Philippine Football Federation, FIFA, and the Pangasinan Football Association, in partnership with the provincial government led by Governor Ramon V. Guico III.
A total of 21 schools with football teams received the new balls as part of efforts to promote sports development in the province.
The distribution took place at the Schools Division Office (SDO) Pangasinan II on March 3, 2025. Officials from SDO Pangasinan II expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the provincial government.
In addition to the general distribution of footballs, Agdao Integrated School in San Carlos City also received new sports equipment.
Provincial Sports Coordinator Leopoldo Arnaiz personally delivered the equipment under the directive of Governor Guico.
Dr. Gertrudes Marcellano, Principal IV of Agdao Integrated School, shared her appreciation:
“We are very grateful for the footballs given to our student-athletes. This is a big help for us, Governor Ramon Guico. We will use them in our training so we can win and bring pride to San Carlos City in the R1AA competition.”
This initiative is a significant step toward honing the skills of young football players and elevating their schools’ reputation in sports competitions.
Under Governor Guico’s leadership, the province continues to strengthen its sports development program. Officials believe that such initiatives not only produce skilled athletes but also instill discipline and responsibility among the youth.
Through the FIFA Football for Schools program, the provincial government hopes to encourage more young people in Pangasinan to participate in football and other sports.
