A 22-year-old student, identified only as “Larry,” was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Tabuk City, Kalinga, on March 20 at around 4:00 PM.
Authorities seized six blocks of dried marijuana leaves weighing six kilograms, with an estimated value of 720,000 pesos.
The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Meanwhile, two of his alleged accomplices remain at large.
In a separate operation, PDEA agents executed a search warrant in Barangay Poblacion, Kabugao, Apayao, leading to the arrest of three individuals—a woman and two men.
Authorities confiscated 17 sachets of suspected shabu weighing eight grams, with an estimated value of 54,400 pesos.
The arrested individuals will be charged with violating Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
