Dressed in costumes and makeup, these children made a surprise visit to the offices at the municipal hall of Asingan, Pangasinan.
The children were excited to enjoy “all treats, no tricks” this Halloween.
One child came dressed with a half-body costume, while others donned Dracula, witch, and even TikTik-inspired outfits, complete with a long tongue!
They were all set for chocolates and candies.
This was part of Asingan’s “Spooktacular Halloween Party,” an event their families, including Gealyn and Jayr, look forward to every year.
They joined with their son, Tristan, who has been participating for three years.
This year, he came dressed as a zombie.
“It’s fun, sir, as long as the kids are enjoying themselves,” said Jar-R Tomines, a parent.
The activity was especially meaningful as the children participating in trick-or-treat have disabilities, with 40 beneficiaries in total.
“Even though they have disabilities, they still get to experience trick-or-treating, sir,” Gaelyn Bautista, also a parent, stated.
Aside from candies, the LGU, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development, also provided medicines and financial assistance to the beneficiaries through the STAC (Stimulation Therapeutic Activity Center) program.
“These children are currently undergoing occupational and special education,” said Teresa Mamalio of MSWDO.
The program began in 2007 and continues to bring joy and hope to parents, families, and especially children.
