TABUK CITY, KalingaโSome 69 households classified as poorest of the poor will be the first batch of graduates from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development here.
Social Welfare Officer III Ritz Aquino of the Kalinga- 4Ps said that these households โare graduatingโ since they no longer have children to be monitored, the Public Information Office โ Tabuk City reported.
The soon to be delisted families have been enrolled in the Program for several years, and based on the results of the Social Welfare and Development Indicators (SWDI), their social and economic status has somehow improved after their children have attained their education, Aquino explained in the PIO report.
During their inclusion in the 4Ps program, the families have received cash grants from the national government for the education, nutrition and health needs of their children.
Aquino, however, urged the 69 households to โuphold the values that they have learned from the monthly conduct of Family Development Sessions (FDS) even if they are no longer covered by the program.โ
The City SWDO have yet to give a final schedule of the graduation ceremony to the office of mayor Darwin Estranero, the PIO added.
