7 FAMILIES, LOST THEIR HOMES AFTER TWO HOUSES CAUGHT FIRE IN BAGUIO CITY

Thick smoke greeted residents of Purok 1, BGH Compound in Baguio City at around 1:27 PM yesterday, January 29.

Firefighters and residents scrambled to extinguish the blaze.

According to the BFP, the fire spread quickly.

Two houses were destroyed, displacing seven families or a total of 27 individuals.

Based on the BFP investigation, the fire caused an estimated P126,000 in damages and was extinguished by around 2:00 PM.

This is already the third fire incident in the city this year.

The affected families will temporarily stay at the Barangay Hall of BGH Compound while the BFP continues its investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
