80 STUDENTS IN PANGASINAN, RECEIVED INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP GRANT

Representatives from the Korean non-profit organization Lotte Foundation visited Pangasinan again on November 20.

They brought scholarships for students from various schools in the province, led by Governor Ramon V. Guico III.

A total of 80 students received scholarship grants from the foundation.

Each recipient was given 450 US dollars, or over 26,000 pesos, to help with their school expenses.

“It’s a big help to all of our recipients, madam. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you very much. We hope and pray that you all become successful in your careers and lives,” said Governor Ramon V. Guico III.

“Through this scholarship, we hope our students grow into global leaders and create a virtuous cycle of sharing their growth with the world,” said Chairwoman Haesun Chang, Lotte Scholarship Foundation.

Beneficiaries came from schools like Binalatongan Community College, Pangasinan State University, University of Eastern Pangasinan, and Pangasinan Polytechnic College.

The students expressed immense gratitude for this scholarship, which is a big help in their education.

“I see myself as a small fish navigating the vast ocean. But because of this great opportunity, I now have a beacon to reach my dreams. I will treat this privilege as a sacred responsibility and make the most of it,” said Bena Mae Cruz, Lotte Scholarship Recipient.

Earlier this year, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Pangasinan government and the Lotte Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarships for students.

“Our governor believes that for Pangasinan to progress, partnerships at local, national, and international levels are essential,” said Vice Governor Mark Ronald DG. Lambino.

The provincial government continues to work with other agencies to provide more scholarships to Pangasinenses.
