“Health is a right, not a privilege. And with every movement of these mobile clinics, we ensure that every Filipino feels it. This is important because, in the New Philippines, every life matters.โ
This was President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s statement during his speech onย
It followed his lead in distributing 83 mobile clinics to 83 provinces across the country.ย ย
This initiative by the President aims to address the medical needs of Filipino citizens.
โHealth should really be a top priority because what will happen to my childrenโs education if they lose their parents?โ asked Frederick Mesa.
“Through these mobile clinics and with the help of the local government, we expect to bring medical services closer to areas that have long needed more attention, the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas or GIDAs,โ PBBM mentioned.
Each mobile clinic is equipped with a digital X-ray machine, portable ultrasound machine, hematology analyzer, chemistry analyzer, binocular microscope, clinical centrifuge, generator set, and more.
โWe hope for your cooperation in maintaining the mobile clinics, using them properly, and helping our fellow citizens… And to our fellow citizens in the GIDAs: this is for you, for every Filipino, for every barangay, for every island that has long awaited assistance,โ PBBM added.
The President urged every Local Government Unit (LGU) that receives these mobile clinics to provide their full support and cooperation to ensure the long-term success of the project.
