The intense heat is one of the additional challenges faced by the fourteen provincial hospitals in Pangasinan.
This is felt by both the employees and patients in each facility, something the Provincial Government of Pangasinan aims to alleviate.
Thus, two air conditioning units were provided to Asingan Community Hospital.
“Air conditioning is very important, especially in the OPD, because it’s extremely hot there, especially during the summer. It feels like an oven in that area, and we feel sorry for the patients who have to wait there,” says Dr. Mary Teresa Aquino, Chief of Hospital – Asingan Community Hospital.
Meanwhile, four air conditioning units were distributed to the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital.
These units will be installed in the laboratory, X-ray section, PhilHealth section, and surgery department to provide more comfortable medical services.
“These units were requested from the governor, from the provincial government of Pangasinan, from Governor Ramon V. Guico III. These air-conditioned units are really beneficial for our clients and hospital staff,” says Dr. Agnes Leored D. Rioflorido, MD, Chief of Hospital I – Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital.
“You have addressed all our requests to the best of your ability. This will further improve our services, and with these units, our clients will feel more comfortable, as well as our hospital staff. Thank you very much, Governor Ramon V. Guico III, and to the province of Pangasinan,” Rioflorido added.
In addition, the provincial government aims to provide more medical equipment and build new facilities to serve the people of Pangasinan further.
