Dancesport athletes not just from other parts of the Philippines but also Southeast Asian country will literally invade the city this Sunday in the 2nd Cordillerra Dance Festival at the Baguio Country Club.
“I’m really excited, “ said Charibelle Pingawan as 301 individual and pairs are entered in 84 events of the one day competition backed by the city government as part of its Charter Day celebration.
Pingawan said: “So overwhelmed, specially we have a large number of delegations. The support is really overwhelming.”
She added: “As a coach, yes I’m excited for our local athletes, this is an opportunity for them to to showcase their capabilities with our local community.”
Teams from Singapore and Indonesia will test their mettle against Baguio and Benguet athletes as well as from the National Capital Region, General Santos City, Koronadal, Davao City and Pagadian from Mindanao.
Cebu, Bacolod and Aklan from the Visayas.
Santiago, Isabela, Cagayan, Zambales, Tarlac City, Cainta, Rizal, Himamaylan City, San Mateo, Olongapo, Pampanga, Bicol, Lucena City and the neighboring provinces of La Union and Pangasinan will also have delegates. Pigeon Lobien
