The city has already started elimination and tryouts for the city’s delegate to the Batang Pinoy 2022 to be held in Vigan City Ilocos Sur on December 4 to 10.
“Elimination and tryouts shall be widely disseminated to all interested local associations/clubs/gyms,…” a notice from city sports development officer Gaudencio Gonzales and duly noted by city administrator Bonifacio dela Pena.
The July 26 notice was addressed to all local sports associations, clubs, sports groups operating in Baguio City.
Said notice also set the deadline for submission of official tryout results on August 23 and start of online registration per event on the same date until August 25.
Deadline for submission of athletes documents on August 26.
Meanwhile, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur has assured that games will be go on at Vigan and other municipalities near it as hosts to the biggest sporting event for athletes 15 years old and younger.
Vigan was hard hit by the July 27 earthquake which has Dolores, Abra as epicenter.
