BENGUET CONGRESSMAN ERIC YAP’S LINEUP, FILES COC TOGETHER

At 11 in the morning yesterday, October 4, the party of Benguet Congressman Eric Yap arrived at the Benguet Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Provincial Office to file their Certificate of Candidacy (COC).  

This came after the group finalized their lineup for the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.  

Yap aims to secure his third term and continue his ongoing projects.  

“The Pilando Bridge project, worth 1.2 billion, is in its first phase. If we are fortunate enough, we will complete phases 2, 3, and 4 by 2028. We also plan to allocate 80 million in 2025 for the phase 2 expansion of the Itogon Municipal Hall in 2026,” says Congressman Eric Go Yap, Lone District Representative in the Province of Benguet.

Yap also wants to focus on programs for farmers and indigenous peoples (IPs).  

“In agriculture, I’ve discussed with Sir Kiko the assistance for farmers, especially regarding innovative farming…new innovations in farming,” Yap added.

Governor Melchor Diclas is also running for his third term, with Marie Rose Fongwan as his running mate for vice governor.  

“Our Healthier Benguet program continues.. We have started the expansion of the dialysis center at Benguet General Hospital. We previously had 10 units, and we will add another 10 units, this is part of our Healthier Benguet expansion,” said Governor Melchor Diclas, Province of Benguet.

For the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the group’s candidates for the First District of Benguet include Incumbent Board Members Alexander Fianza and Johannes Amuasen, along with Lady Charmaine Molintas.  

For the Second District, the candidates are Incumbent La Trinidad Mayor Romeo Salda, Incumbent Buguias Mayor Ruben Tinda-an, Incumbent Tublay Mayor Armando Lauro, Incumbent Kapangan Mayor Manny Fermin, Former Mankayan Mayor Frenzel Ayong, and Incumbent Board Member Neptali Camsol.  

They are all running under the Lakas-CMD party.
