Christmas Cantata, Serenades Baguio City This Holiday Season

By: Jose Robert Inventor

From the birth of Jesus in a manger to the Three Kings finding His location.

This story was brought to life once again through songs performed by the University of Baguio Voices Chorale, Pines City National High School, and others in the annual Christmas Cantata.

Their performances were on another level, featuring Latin songs, English songs, and, of course, Filipino Christmas classics perfect for the cool December breeze.

The pieces were collaboratively prepared by the students, their adviser, and music consultant Glenn Gaerlan of the University of Baguio Voices Chorale.

For Heaven Amon, a first-time performer with the University of Baguio Voices Chorale and Chamber Orchestra, it was an achievement to cross off her bucket list before the year ends.

For Antonette, who previously performed in the Christmas Cantata, the event evoked nostalgic Filipino Christmas vibes.

As the Christmas spirit grows stronger, let us not forget the essence of giving, love, trust, and hope that Christmas brings.
