This September, footage of the landslide in Barangay Dominican Mirador was captured.
The damage was still visible when the news team visited a few days after the landslide.
After over a month, the riprap has been constructed in the area.
Jessica, the homeowner affected by the landslide, feels a great sense of relief.
She expresses gratitude to the contractor overseeing the work.
However, their transient house operations remain on hold.
Though they have all the required documents to run the business, they are not yet fully confident about the safety of their guests.
According to the City Building and Architecture Office’s (CBAO) recommendation, though they declined to appear on camera, staying in the area is currently prohibited.
But City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) is confident that the riprap will hold strong and prevent further damage.
The CDRRMO, Barangay, and CBAO will continue monitoring the transient house and the ongoing construction.
