BY: VALERIE ANN DISMAYA

The construction of the Umingan Super Community Hospital in Umingan, Pangasinan, is gradually being realized.

This project is part of the health programs championed by Governor Ramon V. Guico III.

To recall, the hospital’s groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 18, 2024, where Governor Guico shared his vision of making the facility a hub for medical services in the area.

“We have to prioritize health. We are planning the hospital’s capacity, the classification, Level 1, 2, 3, etc. Anyway, the lot is spacious, so if needed, I’ve spoken to the designers to make the facility expandable,” said Governor Ramon V. Guico III.

Construction began in June last year, and after seven months, the hospital’s structure is already visible.

The road network and drainage system around it are also complete.

The hospital stands on a 4.2-hectare lot purchased by the provincial government.

It will have a 55-bed capacity and will feature state-of-the-art medical equipment.

A total budget of 200 million pesos has been allocated for this project.

Engr. Kimberly Sison of Umingan Community Hospital stated, “This hospital will be a great help once completed. Many patients currently come to Umingan, and sometimes, the current hospital cannot accommodate them. So, transferring to the new facility will be a big help.”

Once finished, not only the residents of Umingan will benefit from the hospital but also those from neighboring towns like San Quintin, San Nicolas, and Lupao in Nueva Ecija.

The construction of the Umingan Super Community Hospital proves the provincial government’s commitment to the health of every Pangasinense.
