Four persons wanted for rape and 41 others in the most wanted list were collared three weeks after a somber new yearโs celebration, the Police Regional Office โ Cordillera reported.
In his report, PRO-Cor director PBGen. Rโwin Pagkalinawan said a person wanted for rape was nabbed in Baguio City, while another was arrested in Abra and two in Ifugao.
Personnel of the Naguiillian Road Police Station nabbed Jomarie Ace Podiquet Mamutos who is wanted for rape by sexual assault and grave threats. Mamutos is the number one in the MWP of the police station.
In Abra, the Tineg Municipal Police Station handcuffed Jen Jen Zapata also for rape and is the most wanted person in the municapility.
In Ifugao, the Tinoc MPS arrested one Mario Bugtong Buyayao who is listed as No. 7 MWP in the regional level, while Lamut MPS, has arrested one Jerry Lopnao Chinamling listed as No. 2 MWP (Provincial Level). Both Buyayao and Chinamling are facing charges for the crime of rape with no bail recommended.
Pagkalinawan thanked the combined effort of the various police offices and stations in the region for the period of January 17 until 23.
He added that of these apprehended persons, 10 are listed as most wanted in various levels.
Pagkalinawan said that 15 of those arrested were by the Baguio City Police Office, nine by the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, eight by the Benguet PPO, seven by the Ifugao PPO, three by the Abra PPO, Mountain Province PPO with two and one by the Apayao PPO.
The same week also saw the arrest of four MWP in the provincial level and one in municipal level by operatives of the Benguet PPO.
In Sablan, one Elfrie Akiapas Dongael who is listed as the second MWP of Benguet was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9262 or violence against women and their children. In Buguias, police arrested one Rey Domingo Lingbanan, Benguetโs 5th MWP, for sexual assault.
In Tublay, local police nabbed the provinceโs 5th MWP after collaring Denly Molot Lucas. In La Trinidad, cops collared Nixon Chaligto who is listed as No. 10 MWP of Benguet.
In Itogon MPS, Reno Patungan Mendoza was arrested for violation of RA 7610. Mendoza is listed as No. 2 in Municipal Level.
In Baguio, the Loakan Police Station (PS4), one Kim Rusty Libungan Ibusag was arrested for the crime of Robbery with Violence against or Intimidation of Persons. Ibusag is listed as No. 7 MWP in Station Level.
