The Cordillera region is now under the low risk level with the province of Abra under a new normal four days after the region was placed under a general community quarantine status, the Department of Health – Cordillera reported.
The DoH – Cordillera lowered the status of the region after registering an average daily attack rate (per 100,000 population) of 6.43 and a two-week growth rate of -22 percent.
It said that the province of Abra is under new normal while Benguet under low risk with Apayao, Baguio City, Ifugao and Mountain Province under moderate risk.
However, the province of Kalinga remains under high risk with a possible extension of Tabuk City’s enhanced community quarantine status after the two weeks it was placed under ends on Sunday, February 7.
As of Thursday, the region has 12,197 total coronavirus disease (Covid – 19) cases, of which 11,023 have recovered.
Active cases now stands at 1,174 with 165 Covid-related deaths.
Last Thursday, the DoH – Cordillera logged 72 cases that came from five of the LGUs but Abra and Apayao. Baguio has the highest with 35, Benguet has 18, Mountain Province with 13, Kalinga with five and Ifugao had one.
