CORDILLERA’S TOURIST DESTINATIONS, HIGHLIGHTED IN THE 4TH PANAGBENGA FLUVIAL FLOAT PARADE

This morning, Burnham Lake turned into a one-stop tourist destination.

Various attractions from Baguio City and Ifugao were showcased in the parade.

This was the 4th Panagbenga Fluvial Float Parade.

The boats were adorned with flowers, featuring designs inspired by: The Lion’s Head, Banaue Rice Terraces, Bell Church, Wright Park, Baguio Cathedral, Mines View Park, Baguio City Hall, and Botanical Garden.

Even the Baguio City Police Office had its own float.

Residents and tourists flocked to witness the event.

The parade was organized by the Department of Tourism, in partnership with the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. (BFFFI) and the city government.

In the end, the Botanical Garden’s Swan Boat was crowned champion.

The City Hall’s Golden Sea Horse Boat placed second.

The Lion’s Head’s King of the Jungle Float placed third.

After the parade, Burnham Lake was reopened for tourists to enjoy boat rides.

63 WINNING PARTYLIST GROUPS, OFFICIALLY PROCLAIMED

BY: ANGELICA ARQUERO The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) officially proclaimed 63 winning partylist groups today, May 19, a week after the national elections concluded. Out of 155 partylists that competed
