Farmers and fisherfolk in the fourth district of Pangasinan received farming and fishing equipment through the provincial government’s Corporate Farming program.

The distribution took place in Barangay Baguinay, Manaoag, where Governor Ramon V. Guico III personally handed over farm inputs, agricultural tools, and fishery paraphernalia to beneficiaries.

Launched in 2022, the program has significantly increased farmers’ harvests and income, bringing much-needed support, especially to small-scale farmers.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Governor Guico for the assistance.

Governor Guico assured that the provincial government will continue providing support to the agriculture sector to strengthen the livelihood of farmers and fisherfolk in Pangasinan.

With the program’s ongoing implementation, beneficiaries hope for continued government support to further enhance their agricultural productivity.

The Corporate Farming program aims to benefit not only individual farmers but also the entire agricultural industry in the province.

Meanwhile, the Indigenous People (IP) community in Barangay Lawak Langka welcomed a community outreach program organized by the Pangasinan provincial government on March 11.

The Aberling and Kankana-ey tribes received various forms of assistance, including family packs, medical supplies, and free seedlings of kamias and cashew.

One of the highlights of the program was the “Guicosina” feeding initiative, which provided free and nutritious meals to residents.

The event also included beauty care services such as free haircuts, which delighted many, especially the youth.

The successful implementation of the program was supported by the Health and Wellness Club, Human Resource Management and Development Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, and Provincial Agriculture Office.

Governor Ramon V. Guico III assured that this outreach initiative will continue, particularly in remote communities.

A similar program was previously conducted in Sitio Mapita, Aguilar, Pangasinan, and more areas are expected to benefit in the coming months.
