Students in Pugo, La Union, will now have better access to quality education after the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) handed over 15 laptops to the local government of Pugo, led by Mayor Kurt Walter Martin.
This initiative aims to provide students and teachers with access to modern technology for learning.
In today’s digital age, where digital tools play a significant role in education, this donation is expected to enhance and simplify teaching and learning methods in public schools.
Aside from the laptop donation, the Pugo LGU and DICT assured continued support for digital learning and other educational programs in the town.
Meanwhile, in a ceremony held at the Mayor’s Conference Hall, the newly appointed officials of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) in Pugo were officially sworn in.
Mayor Kurt Walter Martin led the oath-taking and expressed his full support for the new OSCA leaders in their mission to improve the welfare of senior citizens in the town.
The mayor assured that the local government remains open to addressing the needs of the elderly sector and will continue supporting programs aimed at enhancing their quality of life.
