President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed the 6.32 trillion pesos General Appropriations Act or National Budget for 2025.
After extensive deliberations, the President is confident that this budget will improve the lives of millions of Filipinos.
PBBM expressed, “This budget reflects our collective economic gains. It is designed for the present needs of every Filipino.”
For 2025, the Department of Education (DepEd), including SUCs, CHED, and TESDA, received the largest budget allocation, amounting to 1.055 trillion pesos.
This news delighted Nanay Martha, who hopes the funds will enhance the quality of education in the country.
She highlights the need for additional facilities and learning materials to address the learning gap.
However, Nanay Reene believes the health sector should have received a higher budget allocation.
This year, the health sector was allocated 267.8 billion pesos, which she finds insufficient given the challenges in accessing healthcare services.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin assures the public that the 2025 budget adheres to constitutional provisions.
The President hopes the budget will be used effectively to improve the lives of millions of Filipinos.
