The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Pugo has provided financial aid to residents in crisis under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program.

Pugo Mayor Kurt Walter Martin personally led the payout, alongside MSWDO officials, ensuring the efficient distribution of assistance to those in need.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the prompt and organized support.

The MSWDO encourages other residents who require financial assistance to visit their office for guidance on the application process.

As part of its Women’s Month celebration, the local government of Pugo conducted a two-day Barangay and LGU Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS) Workshop.

The event gathered local government employees, barangay captains, officials, and secretaries to enhance their knowledge and capacity to implement gender mainstreaming initiatives in their respective communities.

With the theme “Strengthening Local Governance Capacities and Response of GFPS in Gender Mainstreaming,” the workshop aimed to reinforce the role of local government units in promoting gender equality and providing equal opportunities for all.

Through these initiatives, the municipality of Pugo hopes to empower more women and marginalized sectors, giving them a stronger voice in society.
