Flight instructor dies from plane crash in Pangasinan

A flight instructor died on the spot while his student suffered multiple injuries after the Cessna 152-type aircraft of Fly Fast Aviation Academy they were on board crashed into a fish pond along Sitio Paradise, Barangay Telbang, Alaminos City, Pangasinan, Wednesday morning.

The fatality was identified as Captain Daryl Uy while the student pilot was identified as Caran France Kaura, 21, from Brgy Pagkakaisa, San Narciso Quezon Province.

Kaura was immediately brought to Western Pangasinan District Hospital by the Alaminos City Rescue Unit for his wounds.

Reports said the plane crash-landed into a fishpond at around 9:20 AM Wednesday.

The aircraft took off from the Lingayen Airport at 08:22 AM for an orientation flight, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) claimed.

CAAP Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board’s (AAIIB) Go Team has been dispatched to the crash scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
