FORMER BAGUIO CONGRESSMAN AND MAYOR MAURICIO DOMOGAN, BANNED FROM PLAYING AT THE CAMP JOHN HAY GOLF CLUB

BY: RHEN DE GUZMAN

This was the statement of former Congressman and Mayor Atty. Mauricio Domogan regarding the sudden ban on his playing at Camp John Hay Golf Club, where he is a member.

The BCDA stated in a resolution passed by its Board of Directors that Domogan and two others, Engr. Marciano Garcia and Atty. Federico Mandapat Jr., are banned.

According to Domogan, the complaint they filed in December of last year was allegedly the reason for the ban.

The case was reportedly filed to protect the rights of the members, especially since their shares are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He added that they paid membership fees and monthly dues to the CJH Development Corporation, which previously managed Camp John Hay Special Economic Zone.

Management was transferred to BCDA on January 6, 2025, based on a Supreme Court ruling issued in October 2024.

Currently, the golf club is managed by GolfPlus Management Inc. and Duckworld PH under BCDA’s supervision.

Domogan’s camp is now calling for a formal agreement between the BCDA and Camp John Hay Golf Club’s Board of Directors to clarify the members’ benefits and rights.
