Under the leadership of Governor Ramon V. Guico III, alongside Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino and Provincial Administrator Melicio Patague III, the Pangasinan Provincial Government delivered various services to its citizens.
One of last year’s highlights was the approval of a 7.1 billion pesos budget for 2025, paving the way for the continued development of programs and projects in the province.
In the health sector, modern equipment such as MRI, CT scan, and dialysis machines were added to provincial hospitals.
Additionally, the state-of-the-art Umingan Community District Hospital and the expansion of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in Tayug are under construction.
Through the Guiconsulta program, thousands of residents received free consultations and medical services.
The No Balance Billing Policy continues to assist financially challenged Pangasinenses through the Medical Assistance for Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients program.
In education, Governor Guico initiated a free education program at Pangasinan Polytechnic College, benefiting 700 students.
For agriculture, 600 hectares of farmland were included in the Corporate Farming Program, aimed at increasing farmers’ yields and income.
The dairy industry also thrived with the Laoac Dairy Farm, while the Bangus Breeding and Hatchery Project in Bolinao and salt production projects contributed significantly to the province’s agricultural growth.
In tourism, over 12,000 people visited the Banaan Museum in 2024.
Meanwhile, more than 14,000 Pangasinenses were employed through job fairs and livelihood training programs organized by PESO.
As part of environmental conservation, around 300,000 fruit-bearing seedlings were planted under the Green Canopy Program.
Support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) was also strengthened, allowing Pangasinan products to be showcased in international exhibitions like Manila FAME.
Despite challenges, the provincial government’s achievements highlight its dedication and excellence in public service.
Governor Ramon V. Guico III expressed, “You know, Pangasinan is a resource-rich province with abundant natural resources, but its greatest treasure is its people. That is my perspective.”
In 2025, the Pangasinan Provincial Government promises to continue delivering quality services to its citizens.
