Pangasinan Governor Ramon V. Guico III is set to serve his second term, bringing with him a renewed commitment to continue the programs he initiated during his first three years in office.
Fresh off his reelection, Governor Guico emphasized the importance of humility amid victory and extended his gratitude to the people of Pangasinan for their continued support.
“There should be humility in victory,” he said. “We have to realize that not everything is in our hands—99% should be in God’s hands, do you agree? I just want to inform everybody that we will press on with what we have started. We will continue with more motivation the programs and projects that we have done in this first term.”
Among the key areas of focus in his second term are education, tourism, health, and infrastructure. Guico plans to further expand the Pangasinan Polytechnic College to give more Pangasinense youth access to free education.
He also vowed to continue the modernization of the province’s healthcare system, particularly the GUICONSULTA program, short for Pangasinan Government Unified Incentives for Medical Consultation.
Tourism will likewise be a priority, with the redevelopment of the Capitol Complex in Lingayen as one of the centerpiece projects.
According to Guico, the initiative will not only benefit Lingayen but the entire province, as it aims to boost local tourism and economic activity.
With the support of Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino, Governor Guico assured Pangasinenses of stronger and more focused public service in the years to come.
