GROCERY ITEMS, DISTRIBUTED BY THE FIRST SPOUSES LEAGUE OF PANGASINAN TO FIRE VICTIMS IN ASINGAN

A month has passed, but the damage left by the fire in Zone 5 Ariston West in the town of Asingan is still visible.

Scattered in the area are coins that Romy had saved from driving a tricycle.

Unfortunately, he didn’t make it out when their house was engulfed in flames.

“He placed the butane because there was still some left. He placed it there, and of course, he was cooking. He didn’t remove the hose from the gas, and then the fire caught on from the gas,” Miraflor Kagaoan, Fire Victim, narrated.

Although the firefighters responded quickly, they were unable to extinguish the fire immediately due to the narrow access roads to the area.

“No one could get in because the fire was already big. We were just outside. I was just outside when they called me. Was there anything you could save? Nothing, just the clothes we were wearing,” said Rosita Kagaoan, Wife of the Deceased.

In total, three families were affected by the fire.

Upon learning about the incident, the First Spouses League of Pangasinan, led by Maan Tuazon-Guico, quickly extended help.

The fire victims received grocery items and rice.

Currently, the PSWDO is processing the necessary documents to provide financial assistance to the affected families.

Meanwhile, the victims are temporarily staying with their relatives.
