At the start of 2025, the GuiConsulta program resumed operations under the Pangasinan Provincial Government.
This time, the program reached Malasiqui, where Governor Ramon Guico addressed thousands of residents.
Governor Ramon V. Guico III expressed, “Thank you for coming to Konsulta plus GUICONSULTA. We’ll do this annually. We’ll start with adults aged 18 and above, and once they’re covered, we’ll provide IDs and extend the program to those below 18 years old.”
The program aims to provide free and quality healthcare services, especially to those in need.
Beyond consultations, the program offers free checkups, maintenance medicines, vitamins, and reading glasses for those with vision problems.
Board Member Dr. Shiela Baniqued stated, “You’re fortunate because we’re not just offering benefits from the capitol today; we also have free consultations.”
Residents expressed gratitude for the program and voiced their support.
“This is a big help, especially for those with illnesses. The free consultation provided by the governor is very beneficial,” said Mercedes Elizaga, a resident.
“Their approach is excellent, it eases our difficulties when we’re sick,” said Maria Perla Manalang.
In addition to medical services, Governor Guico also provided learning books and toys to daycare centers, supporting early childhood education.
This year, the provincial government aims to reach remote areas to deliver healthcare services to all Pangasinenses.
