BY: VALERIE ANN DISMAYA

Early in the morning, thousands of Pangasinenses gathered to welcome Governor Ramon V. Guico III and Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino.

For the second time, the provincial government of Pangasinan brought the Guiconsulta Program to Malasiqui and Umingan.

The program offers medical services such as checkups, consultations, laboratory tests, and free medicines.

Residents no longer have to travel to hospitals for consultations.

Governor Ramon V. Guico III stated, “This PhilHealth consultation program, which we expanded to Guiconsulta, ensures free checkups. We also provide transportation and food allowances. We aim to make our province the healthiest in the country.”

Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino mentioned, “We hired over 500 doctors, nurses, and nursing aides for our provincial hospitals to ensure 24/7 availability of medical services.”

The provincial government aims to register over two million Pangasinenses in this program.

After registering with PhilHealth Konsulta, residents also received ₱200 for transportation and food expenses.

Residents expressed their gratitude, saying they no longer need to line up at hospitals.

“This is a big help for us, especially those in the lower income bracket. Instead of borrowing money for hospital fees, we can now consult for free,” said Melani Garcia, resident.

“This is a great help. Thank you for bringing services here. It’s very convenient for us,” said Letiza Palma, resident.

The provincial government remains committed to making Pangasinan the healthiest province in the country, tirelessly bringing the Guiconsulta Program closer to Pangasinenses.
