GUICOSINA AND GUICONSULTA SERVICES, BROUGHT BY THE PANGASINAN PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT TO PUBLIC CEMETERIES

On the eve of All Saints’ Day, free rides from the provincial government became a reliable partner for homecoming Pangasinenses.

But the public service didn’t end there; it extended to public cemeteries.

During All Saints’ Day, the “Guicosina on Wheels” program, led by Governor Ramon V. Guico III, went around different cemeteries to provide food.

They served hot porridge, soup, and noodles, which the public lined up for.

Among the cemeteries visited by Guicosina on Wheels were those in Bayambang, Malasiqui, Calasiao, San Carlos, Sta. Barbara, Anda, and Urdaneta City.

In total, 6,200 cups of food were distributed across different towns.

Apart from Guicosina on Wheels, registration was also opened for the Government Unified Incentives for Medical Consultations or the Guiconsulta program.

Through this program, Pangasinenses can receive free medical assistance and consultations with the help of the PhilHealth E-Konsulta package.

Pangasinenses took advantage of this registration.

With this, Pangasinenses won’t have to wait in long lines at PhilHealth offices anymore.

According to Myrven Ferrer, Medical Clerk at Pangasinan Provincial Hospital, “We’re registering those without PhilHealth and transferring those who wish to access hospital facilities. We even take their photos so they can avail themselves of PhilHealth’s E-Konsulta package. Patients receive free medicines, lab tests, and many other benefits.”

This program was successfully carried out in partnership with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Provincial Hospitals, the First Spouses League of Pangasinan led by First Lady Maan Tuazon-Guico, and staff from various Pangasinan LGUs.
