A centenarian named Patricia “Lola Siang” Laguerte Lomague from Barangay Alitaya, Mangaldan, Pangasinan received a Php 20,000 cash gift from the Pangasinan Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) with a two bags of groceries, and a certificate of recognition from Local Government under the administration of Gov. Ramon “Monmon” Guico III.
The cash incentives were personally handed by Administrative Aide Sherwin Mayuga and Social Welfare Assistant Alma Abaoan from the Pangasinan Provincial Government together with the Office of Senior Citizens Association (OSCA) Head Sofronio Tambalgue Sr., and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) Focal Person on Senior Citizens Joel Ramos.
Aside from the cash incentive, Lola Siang also received a Php 100,000 cash gift from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and an additional Php 10,000 cash assistance from Mayor Bona Fe de Vera-Parayno last March 12, 2024.
According to Lola Siang’s youngest child Elsia Uria, from what they did with the first cash gifts that she received, they will use the money to buy food for Lola Siang and the other money will be put in the bank to cover her other expenses.
