Hundreds of job seekers from Laguna and Cavite secured employment through the “Trabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan sa Bagong Pilipinas” program, spearheaded by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Jallan Mark Gamboa, a 23-year-old pharmacy graduate, was among those who quickly found work. He discovered the opportunity online and immediately applied. “Finding a job wasn’t that difficult, but low salaries remain a challenge,” he said.

Aira Aloyen, 29, also shared her experience.

Despite not completing college, she managed to land a job. “It depends on what kind of work you’re looking for, but if you really want it, you have to work hard for it,” she said.

The job fair, held on March 21 and 22, resulted in 69 applicants being hired on the spot in Cavite and 45 in Laguna.

“We are conducting job matching, ensuring that applicants find jobs suited to their skills,” President Marcos said.

The initiative was supported by various government agencies, highlighting the administration’s “whole-of-government” approach to addressing employment concerns.

“We believe that major problems faced by the public cannot be solved by a single department alone. It requires the collective effort of the entire government,” Marcos added.

More job fairs are expected in the coming months to provide further employment opportunities for Filipinos.
