Iron pumping book lover wins Pasig bodybuilding tilt, honored by city

The City Council this week commended a book lover who helps run a local thrift book shop for sweeping a bodybuilding competition last month in Pasig City.

Liza Pasiwen Docyogen took the Bikini Class A Divison and the overall women’s bikini champion the MCFIT Classic 2022 held last August 20, 2022.

The City Council in a resolution said “that Ms. Docyogen’s achievement has brought pride and glory to the community of fitness and bodybuilding enthusiasts and to the city as a whole.”

MCFIT fitness and bodybuilding community is a national group of fitness and bodybuilding enthusiasts advocating for fitness among Filipinos through their active involvement in various fitness activities being conducted nationwide.

It was the first athletic competition held at the Tanghalang Pasigue֮no of said city and was organized by both local and international individuals and whose judges came from Canada.

Docyogen, who works at Bookends, also the base of the Pasakalye Group of Artists, is a homegrown Baguio fitness and bodybuilding enthusiast who took the sport event before the pandemic.

In topping the event, Docyogen bested more than 30 other competitors. Pigeon Lobien
