A police officer from Tabuk City is now the director of Police Regional Office – Region II.
PBGen. Steve Bentican Ludan formally assumed the post Monday morning during the formal turn-over of command and retirement honors for PBGen. Crizaldo Obispo Nieves at the PRO2 Grandstand in Camp Marcelo A Adduru in Tuguegarao City.
The new director is previously the Director of the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory and is a member of Philippine Military Academy “Tanglaw-Diwa” Class of 1992.
Nieves in his message thanked the PNP leadership, the policemen under him, the local government units and stakeholders of Cagayan Valley Region for the overwhelming support and cooperation they have extended him during his one-year stint as director.
He further urged the Valley Cops and the community to sustain their good partnership in the furtherance of the programs and projects of the PNP.
Ludan, in accepting the command flag, thanked the men and women of PRO2 for the warm welcome accorded to him. He also expressed his optimism that his stay as chief ofPRO2 will be successful, having the full force of the Valley Cops beside him.
PLt.Gen Ephraim Dickson, the Deputy Chief PNP for Operations, was guest of honor and speaker who also officiated the turn-over and retirement ceremony.
Dickson served as director of nearby PRO – Cordillera.
It was literally a star studded gallery where guests present during the activity included PNP Directorate for Logistics head PMGen. Angelito Casimiro; PMGen. Domingo Cabillan, Deputy Director, DIPO-Northern Luzon; PBGen Alessandro Abella, chief, Women and Children Protection Center; MGen. Laurence Mina, commanding officer of the Philippine Army 5th Infantry Division; PRO3 director PBGen. Valeriano De Leon, PRO – Cor director PBGen. Ronald Lee, and members of the PNP Academy “Tagapagbuklod” Class of 1989, PRO2 Command Group and Staff, local chief executives from all over the region, media personalities and other stakeholders.
