BREAKING NEWS!

KENNON ROAD, TEMPORARILY OPENED TO BAGUIO AND BENGUET RESIDENTS

Around 11 in the morning, Julius, a resident of Barangay Twin Peaks, traveled to visit their departed loved ones on November 1.

It will now only take a few more minutes to reach the cemetery in Barangay Camp 4.

This comes after the motorists’ opening of Kennon Road today.

“Thank you that it’s finally done, so it won’t be as difficult,” said Julius Carbonell, a resident.

Today, November 1, this part of the road in Sitio Camp 2, Barangay Twin Peaks, officially opened to allow motorists to pay respects for Undas.

Just a few days ago, the DPWH started laying down metal sheets to be used as a roadway, and it was completed yesterday, October 31.

The opening of Kennon Road also greatly helps reduce traffic congestion on Marcos Highway.

However, in the advisory released by MBLISSTDA, only residents of Baguio and Benguet are currently allowed to pass through.

The road is open one-way for vehicles weighing up to 5 tons while alternative routes in Barangay are still under construction.
