Engineer Eliseo Lagman joined the Baguio Water District board last month after his father Felino passed away and was supposed to stay until the end of the month.
But management and the BWD selection committee as well as mayor Benjamin Magalong saw to it that it will be extended to another six years representing the professional sector.
“I am staying on after the year end,” said the soft spoken Lagman after revealing that he was able to score good during the selection process and submit all the requirement including papers.
“I was the only one who was able to submit all the requirement and qualification,” said Lagman during the ceremonial tee of the 72nd Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament last Thursday at the Baguio Country Club. Lagman serves as a director of the exclusive membership club particularly sports and recreation, thus making him a member of the Fil-Am golf executive committee.
Lagman admitted that it will be order for him to match his father’s accomplishment. “It will be a tall task but I will do my best,” he said as he admitted that he is still trying to learn the ropes especially technical matters that will make him an effective decision maker for the district.
“I have confidence in the choice of the BWD selection committee,” said Magalong who said that he accepted Lagman’s appointment.
Lagman joins fellow Apache member Jonathan Vergara in the board with the latter serving as a representative of the civic organization and the all Baguio boys club nominating him for the post. Pigeon Lobien
