LANDSLIDES AND RIVER LEVEL RISES, RECORDED IN CORDILLERA DUE TO TYPHOON MARCE

Due to rain brought by Typhoon Marce, several roads in Cordillera are impassable.

In Barangay Sumadel, Tinglayan, the road collapsed, forcing residents to walk over the eroded area.

The Tanglagan to Eva Road in Calanasan, Apayao, was closed again due to another landslide.

Seventeen families were evacuated in Pudtol as river water levels rose.

The PNP’s Reactionary Standby Support Force delivered food packs to evacuated families in Luna.

The province of Abra is also prepared.

In Baguio City, moderate rain was experienced this morning, November 7.

The city also had cloudy skies throughout the day.

“Our response teams, especially from the CDRRM and uniformed services, are well-coordinated, including our force multipliers,” Mayor Benjamin Magalong assured.

The Office of Civil Defense Cordillera previously placed the entire Cordillera under Charlie emergency protocol in preparation for the storm.
