A revenue district officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in Ifugao was found lifeless inside his office in Lagawe town.

According to the Lagawe police, Fernando Bahatan of BIR Lagawe called them at 1:30PM Thursday informing them their revenue officer was dead.

The victim was identified as Atty. Arlan Lomasoc Davis, 45, married, Ifugao Revenue District Officer, a resident of Alapang in La Trinidad, Benguet.

The Cordillera police said the incident was coordinated with the Provincial Forensic Unit in Lamut town, also in Ifugao for a deeper investigation.

Even the type and make of the firearm used has not been identified yet and police investigators haven’t made any conclusion if there was an assailant or the gunshot was self-inflicted.
