Limgas na Pangasinan 2023 winners all smiles at the closing of the coronation night at the capitol of Lingayen

Twenty-five candidates competed for the title during the Pageant and Coronation Night of Limgas na Pangasinan 2023 at the Capitol Plaza of Lingayen on Saturday night. Five ladies came out on top, and they are ready to take it to the next level.

Limgas na Pangasinan World is Nikhisah Buenafe Cheveh from Binmaley. Rona Lalaine Lopez from Mangaldan is Limgas Grand, while the Mutya/Tourism winner is Stacey De Ocampo from Bolinao. Completing the lineup are Denise Joy Flores from Lingayen as 1st Runner Up and Ericka Mae Antolin from Urdaneta as 2nd Runner Up.

Out of the 25 original candidates, 12 were able to make it to the semifinals. Finally, the most awaited Q&A portion resulted in the selection of the top 5.

“Well, I think that I am ready, however I believe there’s room for progress and to become better, and I’m willing to work hard to be that,” said Cheveh, referring to the impending preparations for the national stage, which the top 5 will undertake as the official delegates from the towns they represent.

“I’m actually very excited and this is very unexpected, but I know that I am very ready when it comes to joining pageants,” echoed LNP-World Lopez.

Beaming with pride, Maan Tuazon-Guico, first lady of Pangasinan and chairperson of the provincial pageant, said the organization is getting ready for the national stage and even the international pageants.

Limgas na Pangasinan 2023 was hosted by actor Xian Lim and Miss World 2013 Megan Young. Among those who entertained the audience during the intermissions were celebrity guest performers Dennis Trillo and David Licauco.

The province-wide pageant is one of the major events of Pista’y Dayat, an annual celebration of culture and thanksgiving in the province of Pangasinan, which is also known as the Seaside Festival or Festival of the Sea.
