The 30-year-old man in Baguio City sustained a head injury and is now in critical condition.
This happened after he fell off a nearly 2-meter-high riprap in Barangay Asin Road, Baguio City, past 3 in the afternoon last October 21.
As the victim fell, he was hit by a passing vehicle.
According to barangay officials who first responded to the scene, the victim was allegedly drunk.
According to Punong Barangay Peter Dumapi of Barangay Asin Road, “He had drinks with his coworkers. Coming from work, perhaps he was checking out something in the area.”
The barangay officials added that the victim may have lost his balance after stumbling over a rock.
This is reportedly the third time an incident has occurred in the area.
“We requested DPWH to take action since it’s a national road,” Dumampi added.
The family is planning to file a complaint against the driver.
The victim’s condition is still being monitored as he continues to recover in the hospital.
