MAYORAL CANDIDATES, BEGIN CAMPAIGN TRAIL IN BAGUIO CITY

BY: RHEN DE GUZMAN

Candidates for mayor of Baguio City have officially hit the campaign trail, going house to house and meeting residents to present their platforms.

Mark Andrew Bandoc Directo, one of the mayoral candidates, has been tirelessly visiting barangays across the city, whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening.

A newcomer in the political scene, Directo shares that he has big plans for the city, including job creation and business development to help strengthen Baguio’s local economy.

He has received a warm welcome from residents during his visits.

Despite running as an independent candidate, Directo says he remains confident and driven by his vision for the city.

Other mayoral candidates have also begun their own rounds of campaigning, accompanied by their respective party teams.

Incumbent Mayor Benjamin Magalong is holding back-to-back caucuses along with his Good Governance Team. Congressman Mark Go is also actively campaigning with the same group.

Meanwhile, Councilor Benny Bomogao is campaigning with his political group, Timpuyog ti Baguio.

With only 35 days left before the May 12, 2025 midterm elections, campaign activities are expected to intensify as candidates continue to court voters in the city.
