A high speed car chase with the suspect ending up ramming his car to road barriers and several cars led to the arrest of a self-proclaimed car enthusiast and his call center agent girlfriend.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Cordillera agents collared Rogelio Buccat and his girlfriend identified as Maria Damalerio in the high speed chase last January 24 that ended at the Suello with the suspect’s car plowing the road barrier and damaging several other cars.

Narcotic agents posed as drug buyers negotiated for the purchase of some P27,000 worth of suspected shabu along Bakakeng Road. Sensing that they were dealing with government operatives, who set up the buy bust operation, Buccat stepped on the gas of his Honda car as the PDEA put on the chase.

In a statement, the PDEA -Cordillera said: “Time and again, PDEA CAR is giving warning to any drug personalities in the region to leave or we will do what it takes to protect the public from the evils of illegal drugs!”
