Alongside the rise of new technologies is the modernization of facilities and equipment in Pangasinan’s 14 provincial hospitals. Construction is ongoing, with new buildings and medical equipment.
Among these is a 200-million peso, state-of-the-art facility at Umingan Hospital, which includes a playground, transport terminal, commercial area, and more.
Thousands of Pangasinenses are also receiving free medication, consultations, and check-ups.
These are initiatives by the provincial government, led by Governor Ramon “Monmon” Guico III, to enhance healthcare services for his fellow citizens.
Governor Guico is also focusing on modernizing the education sector.
His promise to establish the Pangasinan Polytechnic College has come to fruition, offering scholarships to Pangasinenses.
Currently, the first batch of around 700 scholars is enrolled.
“This is the ultimate goal. Once an individual passes through the halls, mentored by the teachers and faculty of PPC, once they exit, once they graduate, they should be ready for life,” said Governor Ramon V. Guico III, Province of Pangasinan.
Additionally, they offer Technical Education And Skills Development Authority (TESDA) courses that help Pangasinenses secure better job opportunities. They continue to visit other schools across the province, bringing small gifts to support each student’s learning.
