The provincial government of Pangasinan continues to add medical equipment and facilities to provincial hospitals.
In fact, on October 11, the new facilities of the Out-Patient Department (OPD) and new ultrasound and X-ray machines were inaugurated at the Umingan Community Hospital.
This was led by Governor Ramon V. Guico III, along with Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino.
According to the governor, he aims to focus on improving the healthcare system in provincial hospitals, which is why modernization efforts are ongoing.
Dr. Sonny Edward Urbano, Chief of Hospital of Umingan Community Hospital, expressed his gratitude for the support they have received from the provincial government.
Governor Guico also supports ongoing seminars for healthcare workers to enhance their skills and learn how to use the new medical equipment.
Meanwhile, on October 10, about 1,200 residents from the town of Umingan received financial assistance.
This was part of the Social Assistance Program of the provincial government.
Its goal is to help marginalized Pangasinenses meet their daily needs.
The provincial government also continues to promote the Government Unified Incentives for Medical Consultations or GUICONSULTA program, which aims to provide cash incentives to residents who undergo PhilHealth e-consultations.
