A happily-ever-after is always the dream of couples on their wedding day.
But in planning, the responsibility is to make that one special day beautiful and organized.
The wedding fair in Baguio City offers services for all wedding needs, from planning, attire, food, and even souvenirs.
This is the “Wedding & More” event fair.
Here, event experts and suppliers bring wedding essentials closer to the public.
One exhibitor, Marinelle, offers trendy additions for events, including a vintage-style phone called “Beep,” where guests can leave messages for the celebrant.
“This optional add-on gives a wow factor and engages guests, letting them record messages in an audio guest book,” said Marinelle Umawing, an exhibitor.
There are also suppliers for gowns, food, and event halls.
For unique souvenirs, Maynard offers perfumes, with 40 scents inspired by well-known brands.
“These tokens are unique, making guests excited to bring them home, enhancing the experience for both guests and the couple,” Maynard John Antonion, also an exhibitor, added.
The event is organized by the Baguio Events Workers Association (BEWA), with the goal of establishing Baguio City as a wedding destination.
According to Shiela Mae Gomez, President of BEWA, “Apart from long-standing businesses, we provide ideas for those interested in the industry.”
Aside from tourists, couples flock to the city to get married, especially during December and January.
“That speaks to the reliability of our services and event suppliers. We’re hosting this to show that we’re capable of delivering,” said Melody Elizabeth Castro-Carullo, Chairman and Founding Member of BEWA.
The Department of Tourism (DOT) Cordillera is also prepared to assist those in the events industry.
“We encourage BEWA members to continue training in events management, focusing on the Filipino Brand of Excellence,” said Jovita Ganongan, Regional Director of DOT Cordillera.
This wedding fair will run until Sunday, November 13.
